Nelly and the Comédie Française.

What a man. Monsieur Jourdain!

Such courage.

Molière as Caesar, Molière and an old building.

A man has got to do what a man has got to do, and what a man.

Thanks again Nelly.

Trying hard, Jack, but fear that you are too cerebral for me! Moliere, hmmmm. Not commonly discussed in the circles I travel. "Monsieur Jordain's obsessive desire to move up out of the ranks of the middle class and associate with the gentry." I've known people just like that, and try hard to not be one.

You keep me thinking, and expose my ignorance (especially to my own self). I love your blog, Jack. It's a challenge. Keep it coming.

M. Jourdain only attempted to do what everyone attempts everywhere: to do as others do. He only did it maladroitly and in the face of ridicule. Might we think the worse of him had he been content to remain among his hypocritical bourgeois persecutors? And could we then laugh?

Striving after nobility can be done anywhere.

I don't see you as being part of the "everyone everywhere."

As for the rest, I need to learn more before I can respond intelligently. I'll get back to you.

I may never be able to respond intelligently.

Hey, no one ever said that was part of the deal.
